The Face of Sin……UGLY!

Whenever I write I am talking to myself first! I am a dirty, ugly sinner saved by Lord Yeshua’s grace. I am ugly, hateful, sinful, and a no-body that, The Messiah Lord Yeshua just happens to save, one day or one night! I am no better than anyone else. Yeshua has made the difference!  I am still looking to Yeshua to be my Father, forever! I am still asking Yeshua my Lord to forgive me for my ugliness, my sins and my shame.

What are some of the ugliest thing you ever ran across?  As for me… myself!

Yeah, we all define ugly differently, so your definition of ugly probably won’t be my definition of ugly. When I say ugly I do not mean the physical appearances of anything. For a moment let’s overlook the outer appearance of all things.  In other words, ugly could be defined as something hideous, something sickening or the worst evil.  Hideous as a group of demons plotting to do the work of satan, or even ourselves carrying out satan plans.  All the conniving schemes of the unholy one, all, can cause trouble. The deceitful ways of the demon nation is CONTAGIOUS!  When I called myself ugly, I mean without the superior love of Christ Jesus within me, I am ugly. I was ugly until I came into the knowledge of  Yeshua The Christ. So if we do not invite our Christ within our hearts, we are all very ugly.  Some of us are still ugly, even as we profess to be Christlike. Yes  I know money can but a facelift, but if the heart is ugly, you are still ugly! I know if we could blot out our own sins we would, but I am so glad Christ our Lord can. I know if we could commit hideous crimes without fear of getting caught we would. Some can, but you can’t with Christ. You can’t get away. You may pay to get away, but you will  reap. That makes the playing field level, if we could mask the ugliness and purchase our way out. Where where would we all be? Some would be comfortably settled in their new bought lives, while others have to ask Christ for help to be made brand new. But Christ does not take cash, credit or debit cards.  Our Messiah God Yeshua love us all so much!

Let’s see what Mr. Webster and others says about the word ugly:

Definition of UGLY                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 frightfuldire                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               offensive to the sight : hideous                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            offensive or unpleasant to any sense                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  morally offensive or objectionable corruptions                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   likely to cause inconvenience or discomfort

Ugly A negative word often abused to make fun of somebody for not being “attractive”.

When in reality nobody is ugly it all depends on who is attracted to what kind of person. Usually after a long time frame of being called ugly the victim loses confidence. It is a word to eagerly use out of anger and should not be said to or about anybody. Sometimes the word ugly is also used for no reason.

What is ugly?

What is ugly?

What do you think about ugly?  Is ugly just physical or a train of thought, or maybe a mistakes, or deranged mind, or a hideous laugh, or a lie you told, or the lies you live, or hiding the truth, or being in debt, or a pair of shoes, or feeling lonely, or being unfair, or being broken, having ugly ways or just anything you believe to be considered ugly? Yeah it’s ugly….

This is Ugly…..Ugly is:  nothing to like, nothing to brag about, nothing to smile about, nothing to share, nothing to do, nothing to hope for, nothing to believe in, nothing to smile about, no one to believe in, no one to trust in, nothing to plan for , nothing to die for, nothing to live for , nothing to be proud of, nothing to fight for, nothing to gain, nothing to lose, nothing to stand for, nothing to toast to, nothing to have faith in, nobody to tell your story too.  Nothing  to spend money on, no money to spend, goal, no future, nothing to eat, too much too eat, no hill to climb, no hand to help you down, no choices, no decisions, no leaders, no followers, no friends, no foes, no pain, no gains,  no burdens, no enlightenment, no one understands you, and you understand no one, now all of the items listed above is UGLY….

So when I say “ugly” I basically  mean the Ugliness” inside the heart.. Not our outer appearance, but the thing inside of us that determines everything else. The part of us that causes us to have a self-centered concept that causes the ugly. There is so much more to the ugly side of our human nature. It can be so terrible at times that we don’t even like ourselves, but we are constantly reminded that Yeshua loves us.

So ugly is a distinct part of satan’s plan for us, so we live it, when we don’t repent. Ugly is the stink of living in the ugliness of sin. When we don’t change or ask Yeshua Our Father to help us change, then this ugliness becomes normal and a bad habit. We began to not see the difference and it becomes all we know. The ugly take over our heart and we began to do ugly things, that feel normal. It begins to feel good, it begins to feel  savvy, it begins to feel like a meal after you haven’t eaten all day. It taste so good, you begin to wear it well, so well that you can’t tell the difference. So you’ll have hell trying to get rid of it. You  will almost have to have surgery, to get rid of it. You’ll need a heart transplant.( joking) But it will take a major, drastic lifestyle change to get a new heart. Sometimes you might have to die, I mean, die to self.  Take inventory, analyze yourself, seek as to why we are the way we are. Where does that leave us? Totally dependant on Christ Our King.

I am learning, no one can be  as just as Christ towards us. Some of the PEOPLE you LOVE the most can be the ugliest towards you.  Some of your bosses on your jobs  can be the ugliest towards you. Some of our children can be the ugliest towards us. Some of our Pastors can be the ugliest towards us.  Some of our wives or husbands can be the ugliest towards us.  Sometimes our parents can be the ugliest towards us, but… People can offend us and you see their ugly sides, but Christ…  Sometimes we offend people and they see our ugly sides. Sometimes even our own  lives can be the ugliest towards us. The list goes on…

But I know I can look to Christ to remove my ugliness. Ugliness is temporary, if you really want change. So what is the ugly truth on sin…SIN itself.  Ugly hearts causes ugly sins and an ugly sin nature to manifest itself, and we need help to change.  So you are not ugly, just the sin heart, that makes you so ugly!!!!

The Hate Behind the Truth! Truth Hurts……So Sad!

Get Angry with me but don’t Sin!

I have tried not to write because sometimes my mouth, and thoughts when spoken, or written gets me into trouble. But I can’t help it!!! I just gotta speak my mind. When I speak or write for whatever reason, I release stress. I lost 2 good friends or at least I thought they were true friends. Because I cannot lie to them, nor will I lie. I hate to see people hurting.  False hopes are so easy to spread, and a lie is so easy to tell; so when I’m asked for my opinion, I will tell you the truth. But let me remind you my truths, are based on Biblical truths, or the Bible words and concepts But my words are, spoken in love. So I’ve lost friendships, kin-folkships and relationships. Sometimes I wish I could say what people wanted to hear, but I can’t. I’ve been told I need to forgive, but when you are told you need to forgive others for speaking the truth to them, then something is very wrong!!! Forgive what? For speaking the truth!!!! The Bible tells us to forgive our brothers when they have wronged you, yes forgiving someone for wrong is easy, if you believe God’s word. But what do you tell the one who has done the wrong?  So is it ok to do someone wrong, over and over? People would never have to be forgiven if they stop!!!!  But they won’t.  So speaking the truth about a wrong can get you hated. But it’s mandatory. So remember when you are wronged you should love it!  But remember you are the one wrong/guilty, for speaking truth about the wrongs.  I guess you should be silent. You are not forgiven for speaking the truth. But a person should be forgiven for committing wrong? There is something wrong here.

I hurt when people can’t accept the truth, because it is the truth. I hurt when people feel like you’ve wronged them, or when I speak the truth. I think speaking the truth in love, is  so much better and powerful, than truth without love. It’s even better than a lie, or trying to cover up one. Even in doing wrong to someone and the one(s) doing the wrong expects the receiver to like it!  Why do people expect you to love their wrongs, and lies?  I have always loved people, and have a desire to see people develop a love of truth and for truth. But as the old saying goes” the truth really hurts, and lies pinch”.  I really know exactly what that means. Some people get offended by the truth, and can hate your guts for being truthful. Tell a lie and you’ll have friends till the end.  Go along with a lie and you’ll be the hero.  So I guess that’s why I am a loner. But that’s ok.  Because as long as I speak the Bible, I believe it’s O.K.  God loves me, and that’s whom I’m really trying to please!

I remember when in college during class discussions, I would speak the truth, and with some teachers that didn’t settle so well, speaking the truth can hurt your grades, but thank God not all Teachers or Professors were offended.  But it’s ok. God loves the truth!!! I believe that! But I think most humans hate the truth. I am beginning to think when the truth is spoken,  and if the person that  is hearing it,  AND IF THE  heart is not right then truth can become very threatening, and perceived as a threat. Don’t get me wrong I have learned to bite my tongue lots of times. But when I know the truth can save a person or change their live I speak the truth. When a person has been hurt by a wrong I speak truth. Just think about the people, that have been  Assassinated for speaking the truth! So I guess being disliked is better than being Assassinated!

Just a few Examples:

Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929 – 1968) : United States

 Abraham Lincoln (1809 – 1865) : United States

John F. Kennedy (1917 – 1963) : United States

But I do realize we don’t all see the truth the same way, so don’t be offended if I chose the 4 examples. There are many more I wanted to use but it was hard finding the right pictures, and I really try hard not to offend others.

I found this article by Sue St. Clair, Hub Pages:

Why is it often thought offensive when you speak the truth, why must we always soften it up somehow?

Dealing with strong reactions to hearing the truth is not a new problem. St. Paul dealt with this challenge in his days.

Dealing with strong reactions to hearing the truth is not a new problem. St. Paul dealt with this challenge in his days.

Paul in his letter to the Galatians dealt with the problem of people taking offense at hearing the truth. He posed the question, “Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?” (Galatians 4:16). In his case, he had to deal with confronting the humanistic philosophies and heresies of that time. Many of the locals still wanted to engage in free for all sexuality and immoral conduct rather than depart from such lifestyles. At that time, it was common for Greek communities to harshly mistreat strangers to their cities and think they had done nothing wrong. Murder, adultery, immorality, prostitution and infanticide were common ways of dealing with problems. The locals did not want to give up their lifestyles then, nor did they want people to confront them with the truth about what they were doing. In their minds, there was nothing wrong with what they were doing. They believed that they were ‘good people’ since they were not breaking any local laws. The locals wanted their own version of spiritual truths rather than what Paul was presenting to them. They liked the idea that there were many ‘truths’. There were even popular local sects that believed that salvation was to be had through legalistic adherence to a specific lifestyle. Had Paul said that his truth was one of many ways, they would have liked him. The locals took offense at his presenting ‘the truth’ and calling into question all their immoral, legalistic and self serving ways. His question has echoed through the ages. People did not want to hear the truth then, and they do not want to hear truth in the 21st century.

There are many reasons why speaking the truth is offensive to some. First, there are some people that do not want to hear the truth. It is not just uncomfortable for them, it rocks their world. When they hear truth, it challenges their world view. Hearing the truth forces them to make a paradigm shift. It is often easier for them to attack the source of the information than to change their way of thinking. For them, hearing the truth means what they had believed is wrong. Since they often associate holding wrong ideas with being wrong as a person, they take the confrontations personally. When they take offense, it is in a personal manner. That is the reason that they launch into personal attacks. They try to make the person presenting the truth to hurt in a personal way.

Another group takes offense at hearing the truth because ‘truth’ exposes lies they have held. When the lies or dark secrets are exposed, they feel vulnerable. When people hold onto lies for a long time, they become comfortable for them. Rather than grow from the experience, they attack and take offense when those lies are exposed. They do not want to face the possibility that what they had assumed as factual was actually a lie. These people feel naked and exposed. Being vulnerable like that is painful. In their efforts to hide their being exposed, they lash out angrily. When the errors of what thoughts they have believed or done, is exposed, they often feel dirty. Rather than work through that discomfort, it is easier to attack. By attacking the messenger, they no longer have to face the discomfort of their exposure.

The strong reaction that happens when people are exposed to the truth can be strong. In some cases, people are killed. Countless numbers of people have been killed because they told others the truth or began believing the truth. Persecution of truth tellers has a long history that includes the Inquisition, the holocaust, the programs of Russia, the cultural revolution of China, book burnings, genocides like happened in Armenia, clearings such as happened in Scotland, stoning of ‘unbelievers’, sanctioned hits by secret societies to silence wayward members and economic persecutions under Sharia are all forms of controlling or silencing those who speak the truth. These historic events show the strong and life threatening reaction that can occur when errors are exposed.

I have learned that the fastest way to get someone angry is to tell them the truth. For this reason, speaking the truth has to be done selectively. Some people can handle hearing truth, yet a greater majority can not. They have trouble hearing truth regarding spiritual matters, relationships, politics, science and history. In order to avoid dealing with truth in these areas, myths are often constructed to keep them safe. In some cases, they call their myths, ‘esoteric truths’, so that they feel special, as if they know something that others do not. This is the same dynamic involved in secret societies. They treat the secret as a special truth, like it was a special club that only a few people can be a part of.

Part of the problem lies in the situation that occurs when a truth is spoken. For there to be a truth, it means that those opposing it are ‘wrong’ and in ‘error’. No one wants to be wrong. This dynamic is compounded in contemporary society due to egalitarianism (the idea that everything and everyone are equal). The idea that all religions are equal and all people are equal sounds good. Such talk makes for pleasant sounding speeches, yet it lulls people into believing that everything is equal. To upset that balance by presenting truth and exposing that some group is wrong often termed ‘offensive’. Telling the truth means that you are daring to say that not all groups are equal and not all beliefs are equal. In contemporary society, taking such a stand is regarded as heresy to the religion of progressivism. That is why such persons are labeled as ‘haters’ or something stronger because they dare to upset the status quo.

My next question is – Why?

The Bible explains it so well. But how and why can  some Christians hate the truth?

So does that mean we really aren’t  Christians, or has satan fooled us so that we really think we are?  I read the news everyday, look at the news on TV, or the internet and observe what satan has done to us and our minds. He has fooled us and we graciously accept it- the lie. We accept lies so gracefully; and stand boldly in a lie. How? The Bible has an answer for that too if we read:

Titus 1:15   Everything is clean to those who are clean, but nothing is clean to those who are corrupt and unbelieving. Indeed, their very way of thinking and their consciences have been

corrupted.

1 Timothy 6:5     Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

 Romans 1:28      And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

2 Timothy 3:5    They will hold to an outward form of godliness but deny its power. Stay away from such people.

Matthew 24:12

Romans 1:21    For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him. Instead, their thoughts turned to worthless things, and their senseless hearts were darkened.

Ephesians 4:29      Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

2 Thessalonians 2:11    And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

2 Timothy 3:8   Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

Ephesians 4:19     Who being past feeling have given themselves over to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

Those who have cut off their hope and handed themselves over to lewdness and to the cultivation of every impurity in their lust.

2 Peter 2:12        But these, like unreasoning animals, born as creatures of instinct to be captured and killed, reviling where they have no knowledge, will in the destruction of those creatures also be destroyed,

But these, like dumb animals, are by nature for the knife and destruction, as they slander those things which they do not understand and by their corruption they will be destroyed.

Ephesians 4:18   being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart;

Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

Psalm 14:1         A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

The evil one has said in his heart, “There is no God”. They are corrupted and they are defiled in their schemes and there is none who does good

Galatians 5:17     For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

For the flesh craves anything that opposes The Spirit and The Spirit craves whatever opposes the flesh, and they both are contrary one to another, lest you would be doing whatever you want.

2 Thessalonians 2:10   And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And in all the error of evil which is in the perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth in which they would have Life.

Romans 16:18      For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

For those who are such are not serving our Lord Yeshua The Messiah, but their own belly, and with sweet words and with blessings they deceive the hearts of the pure.

Galatians 5:16    This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

But I say that you should be walking in The Spirit and the craving of the flesh you will never do.

Romans 7:14       For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

For we know that The Written Law is spiritual but I am carnal and I am sold to sin.

Philippians 3:19       For their end is destruction, whose God is their belly and their glory is in their shame- these whose minds are in the dirt.

Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.

There are so many more. And from these scriptures I really began to understand! I will be so glad when we all learn to love!!!! The way God intended us too!
