Can We Stop the Sin Cycle?

I knew this very old man once and he never went to a church. Never went at all. And when we would walk to church and pass his house on the way to church, he would always send two dollars to put in the collection plate. I was about 11. I would often wonder why he did not go to church. He would always smile when we walked pass his house on Sunday. He would always tell us to be good in church. But he never went. So the Sunday ritual went on for years. Then one day he was not there, and we asked his sister where was he, she said he was in the hospital. So every Sunday kept rolling along. Then he died, but before he died we saw him on his porch 2 mores times and he said, I have pleaded with Jesus to let my soul enter heaven, I have lived a good life and now since I am on my death-bed. I see my mistakes. I asked him what mistakes and this is what he said. “I have done everything I wanted to do in life, but I never gave God a second thought. I have had everything in life, and I never gave God the credit. I have went everywhere in life I wanted to go, and I never took God with me. I have eaten all kinds of food, and I never said grace, or asked Jesus to bless it. I have been knocked down to my knees and I never said a prayer. I use to go to the clubs in my day, but never to church. I have lifted my head to look up towards the sky and never acknowledged the creator. I have given things away but never to the Lord. I gave money away, but never to the Lord. So now I am at His mercy. I didn’t see my mistakes then, but believe me I see them now!  So, children when you go to church next Sunday, ask God for me, to give me something. We said what, give you what and he said, ask Him to give me life”.  Now as I looked back, I guess he must have meant eternal life.

Words that may help you decide your fate:

Condemn/Condemnation – God’s judicial pronouncement of sinful humanity’s guilt before Him. It is a declaration of our depravity and the punishment we deserve for it. Condemnation is the opposite of justified. When we give God control over lives then we will no longer be condemned.

Flesh – Flesh doesn’t refer to our physical bodies. It refers to our orientation and identity before God saved us. We are unbelievers, controlled and enslaved by sin, rejecters of God, a people who have preferred sin over righteousness. When we allow the flesh to have control over us it will rule! Whenever we allow God to change us then the flesh cannot control us anymore. But that’s a very hard task for us on our own, so that’s why we have to plead to Yeshua to help us. After you decide that you don’t like living a sin filled life, and want to change. There is a way out.

Gospel –means “the joyous proclamation of God’s redemptive activity carried out through Yeshua the Christ, on our behalf because we are enslaved by sin. When we read the Holy Bible and believe its words and actions, and if we take it to heart, believe that Yeshua the Christ died on the Cross for us, paying the penalty for our sins and for allowing us to be forgiven. Then we must believe that He was raised with victory from the place where he was buried, and lives within us today, and lives for us today. Then you are living the good news (the Gospel) of Yeshua the Christ. If you would like to know more about the “Good News” read the Holy Bible. The New Testaments covers the truth of the good news, which is usually called “The Good News”. But, a lot of us will be like the old man. Sin is too good to give it up; until we come to the point where we can no longer take part in the sin process. Or in other words, live to lie on the death-bed. OR maybe, if we die suddenly never having the chance to lie upon the deathbed then what?

GraceFavor which is only granted to the believer of CHRIST. If you ever people talking about “we saved by grace” it means that salvation comes to us, not by our ability or our own might. It comes to us because Yeshua decided to give it to us. How? By us, living up to His standards. Not our own standards, but by the standards God gave to us to follow in the Bible. Instead of receiving the judgment we deserve, by spinning our eternity in Hell, Yeshua decided to forgive us and let us start over again; never having to be reminded of our sinful lives we had lived. Grace has given us a second or third chance, to get it right. To develop that right spirit within us.

Justify/Justification – Lord Yeshua declares that if we sinners believe in Yeshua Christ, and is righteous because of Christ Yeshua. To be pardoned from punishment for sin and declared guiltless. A person is justified by the Savior’s grace through faith in him. This faith is shown by repentance and obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel. Jesus Christ’s atonement enables people to repent and be justified or pardoned from punishment they otherwise would receive.

Law – The Law defines sin and righteousness and bears witness to the righteousness of God in Christ. The Law was given to result in life. The Law is spiritual, holy, righteous and good. It comes as no surprise that sinners have no love for law, especially the Law of God. All men are born sinners, dead in their trespasses and sins. They hate God and His  Son and His Word. The natural man cannot understand it and seeks actively to oppose and overthrow it. Yet unbelievers’ disdain for the Law of God is not surprising. What is distressing is the number of Christians who disdain the Law of God. The Law of God is seen by some Christians as something evil, something of which we would do well to get rid of.

Propitiation – The word propitiation carries the basic idea of appeasement, or satisfaction, specifically towards God. Propitiation is a two-part act that involves appeasing the wrath of an offended person and being reconciled to him 1 John 2:2  He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son Yeshua, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Righteousness – Yeshua Christ is our righteousness.  We do not and cannot obtain a right relationship with Yeshua in our own righteousness because our self-righteousness is as filthy rags.  We are guilty sinners in the need of a perfect righteousness and being in Right Standing with God through Christ Yeshua.  A person can be defined as righteousness if they have God’s character as all righteousness comes and is given from God. God is the ultimate authority of what is right and wrong. He has revealed his righteousness through his commandments, his prophets, and through Yeshua Christ. From a Christian perspective, righteousness is defined as being in right standing with God because of Christ Yeshua‘s death on the cross. Without Christ Yeshua,  no person can be in right standing with God. Righteous is not of works.

Salvation – if Yeshua is holy and righteous and I am a sinner and Yeshua  hates sinners and sends them to hell forever, then I’m doomed. While it is true that Yeshuais holy and cannot overlook sin, the Bible tells us that Yeshua has determined to save a people from the guilt and penalty of sin. Because of Yeshua’s moral, holy character He had to choose a method of saving men which honored His law; which did not overlook sin but rather paid the penalty for it in full. The apostle Paul put it this way, Yeshua’s method of salvation had to prove “His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus” (Rom. 3:36). This teaching is what separates Christianity from all other religious faiths. With Islam and modern Judaism men say they are sorry, turn over a new leaf and then Yeshua overlooks their sins. In these systems the guilt of sin and the liability of punishment that all sin deserves is not really dealt with but simply arbitrarily set aside. The god of Islam and modern Judaism is most certainly not the God of the Bible. In our previous section we demonstrated that because of who Yeshua is, He cannot overlook sin or just forget about it. Sin must be paid for in full. Therefore, there are only two alternatives for men. They can either pay for their own sins by going to hell and suffering for their crimes against YESHUA  or they can trust in a substitute who pays for their sins by suffering and dying in their place. It is Christ Yeshua and Christ alone who meets all of our needs because only He eliminates the guilt and penalty of sin, satisfies God’s wrath and reconciles a holy God with men. “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sin” (Eph. 1:7). Jesus has “made peace through the blood of the cross.”

I have observed one thing about us as humans, we live as if there is no tomorrow. Some live as if they will never leave this place. Some live as if they believe nothing about the Holy Bible, and some of us live as if, or when we die, that’s it! But I know that somebody has been lied too. There will always be a place waiting for us after we die. After we take our last breath on earth, we have another life we are going to live, in Heaven or in Hell!

Some people  make provisions for tomorrow and some don’t. Some of us know that this is not our home we’re just passing through. Some think this will be their home forever. So they store up material treasures. Some store up nothing. Some leave behind a good legacy. Some leave behind a legacy of destruction. Some of us will be proud of the legacies we left behind, for others and some won’t. Some of us will go to Heaven and some won’t. It is Yeshua’s desire that we all go. But we all know that’s not going to happen. Not at all. Why? There are only a few humans who are sincere Christians. A few that believe  Lord Yeshua. We play with  Lord Yeshua like we play with a toy. Put Him in the corner for months and years, or until we remember or have been reminded that we put the toy up in the closet somewhere. He’s a real being! That can decide our fate. He will also decide where we will spend eternity!

There is so much action going on, and does not include Lord Yeshua, not even in the churches. There is so much going on in our lives that we put Lord Yeshua aside until we find the time to communicate with Him. Some of us never find the time to communicate with Him because we put ourselves before Him. We’ve been WARNED! If we say we haven’t then we lie and the truth is not in us, nowhere to be found.

We’ve been WARNED!

 You say warned about what?

About us Sinning and Playing with the Lord of Heaven- Yeshua!

The Holy  Bible Warns us EVERYDAY if you pick it up and read it!!

EXAMPLE: We are like hard-headed kids! We won’t get right in the head or act right until we see our parents pick up a belt. Then we cry and apologize. But with some parents that will not work because we have done wrong it so much. Same with Yeshua, He has fore- warned us, but we’re still not listening, so when we suffer and hurt, then we call on Him to stop the pain. He’s not listening because He already told us!

But I’ll tell you one thing; our Sovereign Lord Yeshua, does forgive, but don’t temp Him, because we are the ones who have a lot to lose!

  2. @”We are like hard-headed kids!

Is this How God to you?

Let me share you How I perceive God before I came to know Jesus

“when I was 9 yrs old I had a kids fight with my little brother
My grandfather (My parents separated and left us) got so mad
then I stop fighting with my brother.

after sometime, I got another quarel with a cousin. this time
My grandfather GRAB a 2×2 LIKE BASEBALL BAT AND HIT ME

That is my idea of God. A Hard God, and Frigthening God.

But when I came to know Jesus, oh Boy! Jesus change my perception of
a God. He is a good Father.

So Please, change your thoughts of God. He is your very very good Father.

Yes! God hates sin. yes! God is Judge.

God punished all your sins at the body of Jesus at the cross.
God judged all your sins at the body of Jesus at the cross.

believe it. believe you are righteous, not because you do good works
but believe you are righteous by faith. justified by faith.

God’s grace will teach us to say no to ungodliness. so dont worry.
    – Titus 2:12

Sin shall have no dominion over you because you are under grace and not the Law.
    – Romans 6:14

    -grace and peace
